Ahoy DYC Cruisers!

We are excited to venture with you to Pittsburg Yacht Club on October 8th-10th!  

Pittsburg Marina and Pittsburg Yacht Club offer competitive fuel prices and nice newer docks with single 30AMP power and water.  The club has a great bar overlooking the river and several restaurants and shops within walking distance.  Here’s a link to a downtown map for reference. http://www.pittsburgmarina.com/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=11439

It's a relatively short 25NM cruise down river from Delta Yacht Club - an easy adventure for our first run.   Our itinerary, fee’s and schedule follow.  We will have additional information and a captains briefing for registrants a few days before we head out.

COST'S:  All payments will be made through the website:

• Docking is $0.55 per foot per night
• Friday Dinner @ Pittsburg Yacht Club $18
• Saturday Dinner @ LA Veranda $60, includes menu below, tax and tip though additional recognition for their servers is encouraged

ITINERARY 

Thursday October 7th

• Some of us will spend the night at DYC beforehand.  An adventure before our adventure!

Friday October 8th

• Depart from the front of DYC @ 9:30AM - monitor VHF 69 
• • Once underway we will be monitoring VHF 16 and switch to VHF 69 for conversation as needed
  • Docking assignments/info etc. will follow your registration

  • • Vulcan Island (Riverpoint):  Slack 9:30AM, Max Ebb 12:06PM .45kts
    • Blackslough Landing High Tide 8:09AM,  Low 1:56PM
    • West Island/ Antioch Bridge - Slack 7:52AMMax ebb 10:43AM .59Kts
    • Pittsburg Low Tide 10:51AM .71 Feet
  • Docking @ PYC - please enter the basin fronting the Yacht Club one boat at a time - the lead boat will be monitoring channel 69 and guide you in by boat name accordingly.
• 4:00PM Pittsburg Yacht Club Bar opens
• 5:00PM Cocktails @ Pittsburg Yacht Club Bar - bartenders are volunteers - tip accordingly 
• 6:00PM Dinner at Pittsburg Yacht Club
• • Pot roast with potato’s, carrots, celery, string beans, in a savory wine beef broth
  • All American salad w/all the fixings
  • Hot buttered buns      
  • Desert:  Chocolate cherry cake

Saturday October 9th

• 9AM Breakfast Potluck Dockside
• • Bring something special from your galley to share
  • Bring your dock chairs and a folding table if you have one
  • Bloody Mary’s & Mimosas optional but encouraged
• Day - on your own
• 4PM Pittsburg Yacht Club Bar opens
• 6PM Dinner at La Veranda in town - a 1/2 mile walk from Pittsburg Yacht Club
• • Cesar Salad
  • Eggplant Parmesan (or)
  • Salmon (or) Chicken Marsala served with
  • • Vegetables
    • Polenta
• Tiramisu
• Coffee/Ice Tea/Soda
